Funny because we were certain that we were being staked out as soon as we setup and even joked about getting ripped off by someone that lived here. Oh well, lesson learned.

It was ok. I prefer more privacy and cleaner sites. I was a little sketched out the first night to go to the bathroom alone because of the area it's in but I felt safe after a little bit. If you want to stay on the riverfront then it works but if you want more privacy then this isn't the place for you.

Bathroom was clean, showers were free, lots of hot water. Some off leash dogs around but looked friendly.

Theives plague here. Nice location, clean washrooms. There's a lot of thieves in the area. Spent the weekend there with a group of motorcycle riders. A rider had their brand new KTM 350 stolen, someone had their backpacks stolen.

Lots of older run down RV and permanent residents and I am certain one of them stole some alcohol I had stashed in a cooler under the trailer and my son's small pocket knife that I had left out overnight. A little creepy knowing someone was lurking around our trailers while we slept.

Bit creepy place and really nothing to do. The owner John is friendly and helpful. About 180 people permanently live here in trailers he mentioned. Most of those trailers being far from in a shiny state. The river itself is really nothing special. There's just a whole lot of sand with very little grass. There's also a lot of junk around. WiFi only works when standing near to the office. No signal at the campsites. There's completely nothing to do for kids. There's one toilet for men and two free hot showers. Fairly clean. 40$ is really too much for this location and state of the campground. Asked John about the theft happening that the previous reviewer posted about. He said it surprised him as he hadn't had any issues for the past three years but he took it seriously. He seemed genuine in his response. Out of our three weeks RV trip through Canada this campground really stuck out as being the odd one. Try to find another place. There are quite a few campgrounds along the road in this area which are impossible to find online so consider just driving up to one.

Stayed 2 nights, manager was nice and accomodated our extra RV and gave us a late checkout. Kids enjoyed catching crayfish in the river. Sites were big but very little grassy area, mostly dirt.

A camper who was not in our group had their truck broken into, camera gear computer and his wife's ashes were stolen. Went to report theft to the office and came back to his truck his wife's ashes were returned to his truck.
