  Standard hotel rooms. Under renovations for a second floor during my stay. Parking lot a little tight. Excellent food at the attached restaurant.

  The stay there was really nice. They are doing some renovations and the gym was closed, but we really enjoyed our time there. All the people that work there are really friendly and helpful.

  The weekend of September 9 2017, there are at least 3 weddings in the Cowichan Valley. My future daughter in law booked a room the night before the wedding for her and her bride's maids and a room for the night of the wedding. They just called her to cancel her reservation because they are starting renovations. With 2 other weddings that weekend there are no rooms available in town and she is now stuck. I completely understand the need to renovate, BUT think ahead and maybe pick a weekend where people are NOT getting married... THREE weddings in a small town with only 2 decent hotels to choose from.... NOT A GREAT MOVE!!!!!

  The room is fine, nice and clean and comfortable. Renos haven't been an issue. My first two of three nights, however, there was shouting happening in the parking lot outside my room. The second night things got physical, but a call to the front desk took care of it. Unsure whether I'd stay again because I suspect the theme nights at the pub lead to the parking lot fights.

  Even though the hotel is doing major construction and a facelift for the hours I was there it met my needs. Bed was comfy and I could bring my dog at no additional cost. Places to walk the dog and good food in the pub. Works well when I'm working and traveling on Vancouver island. I will be eager to see their new look when it's completed!
